Frank L. Greitzer is the founder and principal scientist of PsyberAnalytix, which performs consulting in the
intersection of social/behavioral sciences and information security/insider threats. He has also recently accepted
an appointment as Chief Behavioral Scientist for Cogility Software. After earning a BS in mathematics from Harvey
Mudd College and MA and PhD degrees in psychology at UCLA, he has worked as a research scientist in applied
cognitive science and human factors for over 40 years. He worked as a research psychologist for the US
Department of Defense, a human factors and AI researcher in the aerospace industry and served for twenty years
as a Chief Scientist in cognitive informatics at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National
Laboratory prior to founding PsyberAnalytix in 2012. Currently he is providing consultation as a subject-matter
expert to support development and deployment of counter-insider threat tools for U.S. government applications.
Dr. Greitzer’s contributions to research and practice include numerous journal articles, conference papers, and
invited talks. Most recently he served as editor-in-chief for the inaugural issue of the new journal, Counter-Insider
Threat Research and Practice.
